World of Warcraft – Item Upgrading The item upgrade allows players to boost the gear rating of an item by up to 700 points and add a bonus. Items can be upgraded by having them in inventory before heading to the kiln. Certain items can be upp'd to benefit from their unique stats (like perfect broken point armour that is rolled for melee PvP) and others, like weapons, do not change significantly after an upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading. Weapons Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats such as the chance to crit, attack damage as well as PvE and damage to PvP. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. Additionally some weapons come with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon is present on a single unit. In some instances, this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon can sustain by itself. The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity as well as its current level. After you've completed the main side quest and completed the fountain that corresponds you'll be able to talk to any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor. The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. It is possible to use anything from three Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees to upgrade your first armor piece, and anywhere between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade each subsequent one. For instance the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a large group of enemies in the majority of cold conditions, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded all the way to +20 defense, providing you enough protection to withstand the full-on assault with a few of your friends. You can't upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor for physical strength or the power of spells. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades for the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you wear for the final boss fight and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask. By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game such as the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer however, it could be beneficial to have a few upgrades of the helmets and chest armor that allow you to stealth around certain monsters. Potions Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the participant, produce a temporary effect. There are five types of potions, each having specific effects and durations. Some potions may be upgraded, enhancing their level of effect. In addition, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust them. Potion upgrades require a certain amount XP. This can be earned through crafting them on a table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the upgrade price will vary based on the type of potion you'd like to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity. To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the “Upgrade” option from the menu. This opens an GUI where you can choose the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll give you when upgraded. Upgrades to potions can be made in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP that they generate will be added to your current XP level. Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change its name. There were a few changes to the mechanics of potion in version 1.7.2. Splash potions, for instance, now have a duration 0:08 instead of the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item. The potion table can now be crafted with four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. Unlike the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be mixed in cauldrons. The same applies to using a potion in an empty cauldron. This will draw out the potion and refill the bottle. Lastly, there are now lingering potions that are brewed with splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to enhance their effects. The table of potion ingredients is now organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, and turtle master potions. Trinkets A trinket is a tiny and inexpensive ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to an object or ornament that serves a purpose but isn't particularly significant, such as a thimble. In some cultures, a trinket is a way to show affection or friendship between family members. In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing stats. Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets. Upgrades are a cheaper alternative to buying a new trinket. It is possible to upgrade players for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl of the older one, and come with an additional upgrade bonus of 1. When the old Trinkets are no longer useful, they can be upgraded. This allows players to increase both their power and value with time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold. In general, players should upgrade their most important items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, followed by their secondaries and then other items of gear will not be replaced in the near future (for example, a ring or cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for a tank player, then they should upgrade their helm, chest and shoulders. Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they are no longer useful and the new trinket will have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. However, item upgrader -upgrade can destroy the old trinket until it is salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying a new one.
